Development of a responsibility model based on identity styles with the mediating role of self-concept for the students of Tehran Universities

Introduction: Students’ sense of responsibility has a substantial impact on their academic and professional progress, as well the future society. Therefore, it is necessary to examine identify factors influencing responsibility. Aim: The present study aimed propose model based identity styles with mediating role self-concept. Method: In this correlational study, path analysis method was applied. population consisted all students Tehran University Medical Sciences, Shahid Beheshti Science Research Branch Islamic Azad in 2022. A total 411 were selected via random cluster sampling. data collection tools Kurdlo's Responsibility Questionnaire (2015), Identity Style Inventory (1989), Rogers’ Self-Concept Scale (1957). Pearson's correlation coefficient test carried out using AMOS version 24 SPSS 25 for statistical analysis. Results: coefficients indicated significant positive correlations between informative normative responsibility, self-concept, while diffuse/avoidant style had negative (P<0.01). Moreover, indirect effects (β=0.028, t=5.17), (β=0.047, t=4.32), (β=-0.056, t=-3.27) students’ self-concept (P<0.05). direct three predicting also Conclusion: results showed that mediated styles. authorities should take measures improve depending
